YAH, I'm HERE!!!

So here I am... I'm in NEW YORK CITY for the summer!!! This is great!!! So after a super fun night with my girls and not being able to sleep... At all (3 hours), I'm here. I woke up really Wednesday morning for the airport to catch my plane, and my girls took me to the airport. I said goodbye to my grandmother, and as I walked away towards the car, she just started to cry. I was like... NO CRYING!! I didn't cry though, I just got in the car and drove away. (that sounds bad I know) If I stayed anymore, I was going to cry too... nu uh. So I went to the airport with Amanda, KT, and Sarah and they all waited with me until it was time for me to walk down to the terminal in the GSO airport. Well it was time to say good bye... and they all started to cry. YIKES!! I just smiled, told them I loved them TONS and went about my way to my gate. As soon as I got to the gate, it hit me! I was leaving my home, my friends, and my life for 3 months to go and start a new one for a short period of time, so of course... I started crying my eyes out right there at the gate and on the plane... the whole way to NY. HOWEVER - as soon as I looked out the window on the plane and saw New York City, the feeling was gone. I WAS READY!!! I got off the plane, picked up my bags, grabbed a cab, and made my way to Columbia!! I felt like such a big boy!!! I didn't have any problem at all getting to the school. It was a great experience, and I was so proud of myself for getting to the school and not having any problems (knock on wood). So I made it to Columbia. I did a lot of the introduction thing and got my temporary room assignment until my apt is ready (not until Sunday). I have met SO many people already! They are all great. I work with 3 other interns, and they are freakin AWESOME! I LOVE my staff too. I am in charge of supervising 16 Conference Assistant type of people. They are all kick ass hard workers and we all get along great, so far. So that’s really good. After all that, I went with my new boss down to the conference desk and started working!! OMG... really, I had been there for like 2 hours and already I am working. We were working really hard checking parents out because that same day Columbia was having their graduation. Now at App we have 6 different graduation times, but Columbia has their graduation all at once. So TONS of people all over the place. And the campus is BEAUTIFUL!!! I guess because the campus is so old and it is one of the 3 first established Ivy League schools, it just has a lot of really nice architecture. All in all, I've met some really really really kick ass people so far and I really think I am going to like this job!!!

I love my Ceige! That airport day was harsh. I have to tell you that I took control of the radio and I would not listen one slow or sad song the whole way home.
